Prototyping will include material handling, assembly, and instrumentation of large and medium sized switch gear. Testing will include temperature rise testing, dielectric testing, environmental testing, and endurance testing.The work model for the role: Onsite, Mebane, NC #LI - OnsiteYou will be mainly accountable for:Material handling and coordination for test projectsAssembly and modifications of test objectsSafely execute high voltage and high current testingUnderstand and verify test resultsIdentify and help create new test equipment and fixtures to improve efficiency of testing.Maintain existing test equipmentJob Qualifications: 2-year degree in electrical/electronic technology or equivalent experience0 - 2 years of experience in electrical engineering and/or testing environmentExperience and understanding of electrical systems and electrical safetyExperience with meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, test, and data acquisition systemsExperience with low voltage and medium voltage switchgear.Position requires domestic and international travelPosition is in R&D department of Electrification, Distribution Solutions based in Mebane NC, USA.What's in it for you We want you to bring your full self to work—your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
